Our pick for Generative Investor this issue is Michael Bloomberg who has just donated an unprecedented $1.8 Billion to his alma mater Johns Hopkins. The gift will be used exclusively for undergraduate financial aid and is the largest donation to any U.S. college or university in history. This donation will allow the University to permanently conduct admissions that do not factor in family income into the admissions process.  Student loans will be eliminated from financial aid packages and replaced with scholarships that do not have to be repaid. Michael Bloomberg’s donation is an excellent example of what generative investing is all about. Students who couldn’t otherwise attend Johns Hopkins due to lack of financial resources can now enroll in the University, while currently enrolled students do not have to go deep into debt in order to obtain their undergraduate degrees.
